Don’t Give Up on Yourself

Hello dear friends!

We are looking forward to seeing you all again this week!

Some quick reminders: Last Tuesday’s Clear Communication BASICS class at Noon was wonderful. If you missed Session One, don’t worry, there is still plenty to learn and room for more to join us. Additionally, we have our Clear Communication ADVANCED class at 6:30PM on Tuesdays as well. Grieving Together is also coming up on the first Friday of February from 6 to 8PM. We’ll keep you posted on that so you can get the word out to family and friends who might benefit from that group.

This week, we’d like to talk with you about not giving up on yourself.

Many times in our coaching, we have the experience of new clients coming in and wanting so desperately to change their circumstances. They will do “anything” to repair their relationships or change the way they have conducted their lives.

Fortunately, many see progress within just a few weeks of concentrating on what they want. They may begin to see their situation differently, improve their boundaries, and start to make a few changes to their unhealthy habits.

Unfortunately, permanent change takes TIME. It is a process.

Many times, improving the quality of our lives means we must look at

  • how we communicate

  • what others are expecting of us

  • what WE are expecting of us

  • if we have been inauthentic

  • how much we have pushed down what really needs to be looked at

  • how we got to where we currently are

This isn’t for the faint of heart, and it can’t be done in a few weeks.

Yes, we can start to make some positive changes quickly, but we must be willing to stick with our desire for change until we get to be where we want to be.

Our world is all about “instant success,” “instant recovery,” “instant healing,” yet truth be told, THERE IS NO SUCH THING.

If you want your life to improve, you must be willing to do the work. That’s it, plain and simple. More than that, you must be willing to recognize that you are WORTH THE WORK!

We have many, many beautiful, courageous clients who ARE willing to do the work, and we want you to know that we respect all of you. It isn’t easy, and yet you are doing it!

Here’s to a new year of working hard, changing our lives permanently for the better, and caring enough about ourselves to do what is required for a happy, healthy, and peaceful life.

Love to all,
Annette and Ada
