While many people are aware of us because of our communication classes and programs, one of the highlights of our lives is our coaching practice. We have been coaching now for a number of years, and it just gets better and better.
We love to meet our clients wherever they are in their journeys and customize our coaching to meet their needs. No two clients are alike, and no two coaching sessions are alike.
In our coaching sessions, we get very specific as to what our clients need to do to move forward in their lives.
Regardless of our clients' current struggles, we believe and know that healing is possible.

The holidays can be a very stressful time. While there may be joy, we can also experience some big challenges.
If we are traveling, we might have to contend with icy roads or crowded airports. If we spend beyond our means, there will be the burden of debt. If we are hosting or attending gatherings, some of the guests may be stressful – causing us to spend the time together biting our tongues to keep the peace.
What do we do about all this? How can we manage holiday stress?
This is the topic of our presentation, Stress Less During the Holidays, at The Lodge at Grand Junction (2656 Patterson Rd, Grand Junction, CO 81506) on November 21st from 5:30 to 6:30PM!
We won’t be merely theorizing how to stress less during the holidays, we will be offering solutions and taking your questions.
We hope you will be able to join us.
If you prefer more...

When it comes to grief, most of us immediately think of The Five Stages of Grief presented by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross in her book, On Death and Dying: 1. Denial and Isolation, 2. Anger, 3. Bargaining, 4. Depression, and 5. Acceptance. What isn’t well-known is that this grief model applies to people with a terminal illness - THEY are dying.
For those who are experiencing grief in their lives and who are not dying, we must add anxiety to the grief process. Claire Bidwell Smith does an amazing job of explaining the role of anxiety as it relates to grief in her book, ANXIETY, The Missing Stage of Grief.
We are learning a lot from Ms. Smith, and her book brought up a memory for Ada that helped her realize JUST YESTERDAY her experience with anxiety as it relates to moving in her childhood – which was definitely a SIGNIFICANT LOSS to her.
It was the night before our big move from Seattle, WA to Grand Junction, CO. I was crying – wailing –...
A better and far more helpful way to think of miracles is this: You do not understand them, either in part or in whole. Yet they have been done through you. Therefore, your understanding cannot be necessary. Yet it is still impossible to accomplish what you do not understand. And so, there must be Something in you that does understand. ~ A Course in Miracles, Chapter 16, Section III
In spiritual circles, including those related to A Course in Miracles, there is a tendency to focus on the "awakening" experience. That moment of crystal-clear understanding when the veil of not-knowing is lifted and the Light of God shines completely without anything to obscure it.
Many hold the belief that they are trying to get somewhere. Or, they must work at being something more or better than they are right now. Yet this way of thinking only works to confirm the identity that we are small, limited, frail, and weak. The egoic mind says, "This weakness must be overcome, but that's not really...
A few weeks ago, we started our newest group, GRIEVING TOGETHER. We have wanted to offer a group with this focus for a very long time. What’s unique about our group is that we are creating a space that welcomes anyone who has experienced a SIGNIFICANT LOSS – as opposed to focusing only on the death of someone close. Additionally, this significant loss does not have to be recent. It could have been experienced many years ago.
The reason we are opening our group up in this way is because our coaching experience has shown us that people suffer from loss every day, and there are very few places where they can be comfortable enough to feel and share their pain. In our group, a significant loss is a significant loss – and each and every situation is held with tenderness and care.
During the past few meetings, we have talked about many different losses. While the losses have taken various forms, what has been consistent is the respect extended which honors what this...
